Chocolate Fruit Delights

Easy to make, delicious to eat and the children love them.
Ingredients
Chocolate:
12 oz 350 g icing sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
2 Dsp cocoa powder
4 Tblsp hot water
Fruit:
2 medium bananas
2 Tblsp orange juice
8 oz 250 g strawberries
12 oz 350 g mixed dry fruit – apricots, pears, peaches, apple slices
1 Tblsp coloured sprinkles
Method
Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
In a bowl stir together the chocolate ingredients until the mixture thickens.
Cut the bananas in half lengthways. Then thickly slice into long pieces. Toss in a little orange juice to stop them going brown.
Dip the fruit one piece at a time into the chocolate mix. Place the fruit in a single layer on the baking trays. Lightly sprinkle with the coloured sprinkles before the chocolate is set.
Place in the refrigerator until set.
Keep in an air tight tin.
Variations:
Thick white icing made with lemon juice can be piped over the chocolate
The fruit can be pressed onto sticks.
