Grandma’s Oatcakes

A recipe passed down to me. It is very simple.
Ingredients
2 oz 50 g plain flour
6 oz 175 g oatmeal
1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
pinch of salt
2 1/2 oz 60 g vegan margarine
1 tsp sugar
4-6 tsp water
Method
Mix all the ingredients together.
Roll out and cut.
Bake at 200 C, 400 F, Gas Mark 6 for 10 – 15 minutes until risen and golden.
Makes about a dozen cakes. Will keep in an airtight tin.
