Onions and Peas

Vegetable Dish
This recipe came from Nurit on Kaliah Kibbutz, Israel.
The onions are better steamed whole in their skins.
Ingredients
12 small onions
1 lb 450 gms peas
2 Tblsp olive oil
1 Tblsp parsley
4 spripgs of mint
salt and pepper
Method
Steam the unpeeled onions until tender. Drain. Change the water and steam the peas until tender or defrosted.
Peel the cooling onions by cutting off the bottoms and slipping the skin off like a jacket.
Heat the oil in a pan. Add the onions and peas and stir well for 5 minutes. Serve garnished with chopped parsley and a sprig of mint.
Serves 4 people.
