A recipe from an Indian friend, Mak Makanji, in Liverpool, UK, thanks.
2 ozs 50 g chapatti flour
1/2 tsp oil
1/2 tsp water
1/2 ozs 13g vegan margarine
Mix the flour, salt and nearly all the oil together and add a little water to make a soft dough. Knead well and add a little more oil at the end.
Roll out into an oval. Pinch the waist to form a figure of 8 shape. Spread with vegan margarine. Sprinkle over with flour. Fold over. Repeat the procedure once more.
Divide into 4 pieces. Roll each into a thin oval.
Cook in a dry pan. Turn after 1 minute. Spread on a little oil if it sticks.
Serve with a curry main dish.
