Buttered Leeks

VEGETABLE DISH
Ingredients
450g 1 lb leeks
25g 1 oz vegetable margarine
1 tsp parsley or thyme, chopped
Method
Trim the root and upper stem of the leeks. Cut halfway through lengthways. Wash carefully maintaining the whole shape.
Steam until tender, 5-10 minutes.
Melt margarine and add chopped herbs. Pour over the leeks and serve hot.
Serves 4 people. Serve with main meal.
