Melon and Strawberries

A recipe from cousin Annie in Scotland.
This makes a very attractive starter or sweet.
4 small charentais melons
8 ozs 225g strawberries
8 ozs 225g grapes, halved and de-seeded
1 Tblsp caster sugar
sweet white wine
Cut the top off each melon, about two thirds of the way up using a zig-zag pattern. Remove the pips and use a melon ball maker to scoop out the flesh. Save the balls.
Half or quarter any large strawberries. Mix the melon balls with the strawberries. Add the grapes.
Fill each hollowed out melon with the mixture and sprinkle over the caster sugar. Pour over a generous helping of white wine.
Chill before serving.
Serves 4 people.
