Tomato Salad

2lbs 1Kg tomatoes
1 Tblsp salt
vinaigrette sauce
1oz 25g basil leaves
Slice the tomatoes. Sprinkle them with the salt and leave to stand for 45 minutes. Drain thoroughly.
Arrange the tomatoes on a serving dish and pour over the vinaigrette sauce. Sprinkle with finely chopped basil.
This salad also makes a very good starter.
