Chocolate Squares

Always a favourite with the children.
4ozs 125g rolled oats
3ozs 75g coconut
6ozs175g vegan margarine
4ozs 125g sugar
4ozs 125g flour
1 Dsp cocoa
1/2 tsp baking powder
Cream sugar and margarine together. Add all the dry ingredients. Mix well. Press the mixture into a greased swiss-roll tin.
Bake in pre-heated oven 375F, 190C, Mk5 for 20 minutes.
Ice with water icing while hot.
Water Icing
12ozs 350g icing sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
2 Dsp cocoa
4 Tblsp hot water
Beat ingredients together until mixture thickens. Pour over hot base.
Allow to cool. Cut into 2 inch, 2.5 cm squares and lift out of the swiss-roll tin.
Makes 15 squares.
