Avocado and Fruit Sweet

A good sweet to serve to non-vegan guest because of the strong flavours.

2 avocados
2 peaches
4ozs 125g seedless grapes
4ozs 125g strawberries
8ozs 225g sugar
1/2 pt 225mls water
2 Tblsp lemon juice
4 Tblsp golden syrup

Dissolve sugar in water over gentle heat and boil for 2 minutes. Pour over peaches to loosen skin. This adds flavour to the syrup. Remove skin. Halve the peaches and remove the stones, slice into the syrup and chill.
Peel and stone the avocados and slice. Halve the grapes. Save 4 small whole strawberries for decoration and halve the rest.
Mix all the fruit together and put into 4 glasses. Spoon over syrup.
Mix lemon juice and golden syrup and warm until blended.
Spoon over fruit and decorate with whole strawberries.
Serves 4.
